Weather Watchers — printable activity pack
The one topic on this calendar a child can check by walking to a window. A weather unit turns up in nearly every elementary classroom, and what changes between the levels is how technical the vocabulary gets: one-syllable weather at ages 3–5, the language of a forecast at ages 9–12.
Four levels of the same theme — ages 3–5, 6–8, 9–12 and a harder grown-up level — so a mixed-age class or family works on the same puzzles, each at their own level. 11 pages, US Letter PDF, ready to print at home or in a classroom.
One-time payment of US$4 plus any applicable tax. UK & EU/EEA consumers: 14-day right to cancel · Refund & cancellation policy
Pay as a guest — no account needed. You get the Weather Watchers pack at the level you pick, as a PDF, straight after checkout, and you can print it as often as you like for your own family or class.
Three pages from this pack

Rendered from the Weather Watchers PDF itself, at ages 6–8. The puzzles are generated, so your copy’s grids and maze won’t be these exact ones.
From a window to a forecast
TEMPERATURE is eleven letters, the longest word in this pack, and it shares a crossword with DROUGHT and BLIZZARD — words a child meets in a weather unit and almost nowhere else. The youngest level goes the other way, and short words interlock badly: only three of its six reach the crossword grid, and the other three wait in the word search. The dot-to-dot is a sun of twelve dots, which is a minute’s work rather than an afternoon’s — worth knowing before you print it as the quiet activity.

The answer key solves the sudoku, the word search, the word scramble and the crossword. The maze doesn’t have an answer — a maze doesn’t need one.
The words your child will be hunting for
These are the words each level’s puzzles are built from: the word search grid is filled with them and prints them under it as the list to find, the scramble jumbles up to seven of them one per line, and the crossword interlocks as many as will fit. Same theme at every level, different words — that’s what makes a mixed-age table work.
The grown-up level isn’t written separately: it’s the longest words from the 6–8 and 9–12 lists, on a bigger grid and a harder sudoku.
