Rainforest — printable activity pack
This pack holds the longest word on the whole 52-week calendar. BIODIVERSITY is twelve letters, and the ages 9–12 word search is twelve squares a side, so it can only lie along a full row, a full column or a corner-to-corner diagonal — the biggest word on the sheet is also the easiest to find. At the youngest level it is frogs and vines instead.
Four levels of the same theme — ages 3–5, 6–8, 9–12 and a harder grown-up level — so a mixed-age class or family works on the same puzzles, each at their own level. 11 pages, US Letter PDF, ready to print at home or in a classroom.
One-time payment of US$4 plus any applicable tax. UK & EU/EEA consumers: 14-day right to cancel · Refund & cancellation policy
Pay as a guest — no account needed. You get the Rainforest pack at the level you pick, as a PDF, straight after checkout, and you can print it as often as you like for your own family or class.
Three pages from this pack

Rendered from the Rainforest PDF itself, at ages 6–8. The puzzles are generated, so your copy’s grids and maze won’t be these exact ones.
Twelve letters, and nothing with a face
At ages 6–8 the sheet hunts TOUCAN, JAGUAR, CANOPY, SLOTHS, LIZARD and MONKEY, and not one of them is drawn anywhere in the eleven pages: the cover and the coloring page are a tree, and the dot-to-dot is another tree, seven dots long, the shortest in the set. Buy this one for its words rather than its pictures. The oldest level earns its place — BIODIVERSITY, ECOSYSTEM, TROPICAL, UNDERGROWTH, HUMIDITY and CONSERVE are a school unit’s vocabulary, not a list of animals.

The answer key solves the sudoku, the word search, the word scramble and the crossword. The maze doesn’t have an answer — a maze doesn’t need one.
The words your child will be hunting for
These are the words each level’s puzzles are built from: the word search grid is filled with them and prints them under it as the list to find, the scramble jumbles up to seven of them one per line, and the crossword interlocks as many as will fit. Same theme at every level, different words — that’s what makes a mixed-age table work.
The grown-up level isn’t written separately: it’s the longest words from the 6–8 and 9–12 lists, on a bigger grid and a harder sudoku.
