Bug Hunt — printable activity pack
Beetles, butterflies and whatever is under the nearest rock. Made for the child who brings things indoors in a jar, and it doubles as the paper half of a real bug hunt: do the word search first, then go and find the things on the list.
Four levels of the same theme — ages 3–5, 6–8, 9–12 and a harder grown-up level — so a mixed-age class or family works on the same puzzles, each at their own level. 11 pages, US Letter PDF, ready to print at home or in a classroom.
One-time payment of US$4 plus any applicable tax. UK & EU/EEA consumers: 14-day right to cancel · Refund & cancellation policy
Pay as a guest — no account needed. You get the Bug Hunt pack at the level you pick, as a PDF, straight after checkout, and you can print it as often as you like for your own family or class.
Three pages from this pack

Rendered from the Bug Hunt PDF itself, at ages 6–8. The puzzles are generated, so your copy’s grids and maze won’t be these exact ones.
Do the puzzles, then go outside
This is the only pack in the set whose second half happens in the garden. Work the word search at the kitchen table, then take the list outdoors and see how many you can actually turn up — BEETLE, SPIDER, CRICKET and WORMS are all realistically on offer under one damp brick. The oldest level goes the other way, into biology: CATERPILLAR, METAMORPHIC and ANTENNAE are life-cycle vocabulary, and the middle one is worth a conversation. The 6–8 list is the one to take outside: LADYBUG and BEETLE are the two a child will almost certainly find, and FIREFLY is the one worth staying up for.

11 pages, US Letter PDF, ready to print at home or in a classroom.
The answer key solves the sudoku, the word search, the word scramble and the crossword. The maze doesn’t have an answer — a maze doesn’t need one.
The words your child will be hunting for
These are the words each level’s puzzles are built from: the word search grid is filled with them and prints them under it as the list to find, the scramble jumbles up to seven of them one per line, and the crossword interlocks as many as will fit. Same theme at every level, different words — that’s what makes a mixed-age table work.
The grown-up level isn’t written separately: it’s the longest words from the 6–8 and 9–12 lists, on a bigger grid and a harder sudoku.
