Farm Friends — printable activity pack
Start here if the child is small. The youngest level is built from words a preschooler already owns — cow, pig, hen, barn, egg and hay — while the older ones move on to the machinery and the vocabulary a working farm actually runs on. Barns, tractors and the animals in between, at four levels of the same theme.
Four levels of the same theme — ages 3–5, 6–8, 9–12 and a harder grown-up level — so a mixed-age class or family works on the same puzzles, each at their own level. 11 pages, US Letter PDF, ready to print at home or in a classroom.
One-time payment of US$4 plus any applicable tax. UK & EU/EEA consumers: 14-day right to cancel · Refund & cancellation policy
Pay as a guest — no account needed. You get the Farm Friends pack at the level you pick, as a PDF, straight after checkout, and you can print it as often as you like for your own family or class.
Three pages from this pack

Rendered from the Farm Friends PDF itself, at ages 6–8. The puzzles are generated, so your copy’s grids and maze won’t be these exact ones.
The one a preschooler can nearly finish alone
Got a three-year-old and fifteen minutes? COW, PIG, HEN, BARN, EGG, HAY — six words a preschooler already has, in a word search small enough to finish in one sitting, which matters far more than difficulty when a child is still deciding whether puzzles are for them. The older levels go somewhere else entirely: PADDOCK, LIVESTOCK, GRAZING and HARVESTER are the language of a working farm rather than a picture book, and they're useful to anyone doing a food-and-farming topic. Fair warning on the art — the drawings are the farmhouse, not the animals.

The answer key solves the sudoku, the word search, the word scramble and the crossword. The maze doesn’t have an answer — a maze doesn’t need one.
The words your child will be hunting for
These are the words each level’s puzzles are built from: the word search grid is filled with them and prints them under it as the list to find, the scramble jumbles up to seven of them one per line, and the crossword interlocks as many as will fit. Same theme at every level, different words — that’s what makes a mixed-age table work.
The grown-up level isn’t written separately: it’s the longest words from the 6–8 and 9–12 lists, on a bigger grid and a harder sudoku.
