Dinosaur Dig — printable activity pack
For the dinosaur phase — the one where a four-year-old can say the long names and not much else. Fossils, footprints and very large teeth at the bottom of the range, and something considerably harder at the top, because the oldest list goes after the science of it rather than the famous names. Four levels of it, so the big sibling gets a real puzzle instead of a shorter one.
Four levels of the same theme — ages 3–5, 6–8, 9–12 and a harder grown-up level — so a mixed-age class or family works on the same puzzles, each at their own level. 11 pages, US Letter PDF, ready to print at home or in a classroom.
One-time payment of US$4 plus any applicable tax. UK & EU/EEA consumers: 14-day right to cancel · Refund & cancellation policy
Pay as a guest — no account needed. You get the Dinosaur Dig pack at the level you pick, as a PDF, straight after checkout, and you can print it as often as you like for your own family or class.
Three pages from this pack

Rendered from the Dinosaur Dig PDF itself, at ages 6–8. The puzzles are generated, so your copy’s grids and maze won’t be these exact ones.
Past the famous names
Most dinosaur printables stop at the names. This one doesn't: by the 9–12 level the words are HERBIVORE, CARNIVORE, EXCAVATION, SKELETON, EXTINCT and PREHISTORIC — vocabulary about how anyone knows any of this, which is the part a nine-year-old is usually ready for and rarely offered. Down at ages 3–5 the whole list is REX, EGG, ROAR, BIG, DIG and BONE. One honest warning about the pages: the dot-to-dot in this pack joins up into a star rather than a dinosaur. The cover and the coloring page are where the long-necked dino lives.

The answer key solves the sudoku, the word search, the word scramble and the crossword. The maze doesn’t have an answer — a maze doesn’t need one.
The words your child will be hunting for
These are the words each level’s puzzles are built from: the word search grid is filled with them and prints them under it as the list to find, the scramble jumbles up to seven of them one per line, and the crossword interlocks as many as will fit. Same theme at every level, different words — that’s what makes a mixed-age table work.
The grown-up level isn’t written separately: it’s the longest words from the 6–8 and 9–12 lists, on a bigger grid and a harder sudoku.
